9ine Privacy Academy - Data privacy and protection training for independent schools

If your answers are "I'm not sure," then it's time to start thinking about professional development for your data protection team to get your compliance program back on track! The 9ine Privacy Academy is a professional development course that provides applicable training from 9ine’s in-house data protection experts. The program includes resources and interactive learning through participant experiences and plenty of time for questions.

This program was created because there is a notable absence of formal structured training for school privacy professionals with limited if any, professional development that links a framework to the practical actions of managing privacy within the context of a school. ATLIS is pleased to partner with 9ine to offer this program to the independent school community.

Target audience:

This program was created for education privacy teams to attend, learn, and leave with an instructional understanding of how to embed a culture of privacy in their school. The program is ideal for anyone who handles sensitive information, is responsible for data governance, risk management, or wants to increase their knowledge around data privacy and protection.

Cost

The cost is based on a per-person amount for each school participating.

ATLIS members: $1,485
Addition registrants: $615

Non-members: $1,943
Additional registrants: $865

A licence for limited access to the 9ine’s Privacy, Governance & Training platform is included within the cost of the Privacy Academy. This license will expire on May 30th, 2025 unless the full license has been purchased.

Format:

The Privacy Academy comprises eight modules, held monthly, facilitating deep dives into crucial areas such as leadership, incident management, and policy development. Through a blend of interactive sessions, group scenarios, and supporting resources participants engage in practical exploration of real-world privacy challenges within the educational context.

The Privacy Academy sessions follow 9ine’s Data Privacy Framework; eight core modules that can be mapped to any domestic or international law in order to operationalize the principles of the law into actionable steps that, when implemented, will help an organization to demonstrably show compliance with the law.

Consultancy Support

As part of the Privacy Academy Experience, each participant school will be allocated a 9ine Privacy Consultant for support. The Privacy Consultant will ensure each school is onboarded, understands the schedule, and will be on hand to answer any questions post each session. They will also organize up to three one-hour 1:1 consultancy sessions (per school) worth $600 to support understanding and embedding of the topics.
